The Central Investigation Bureau arrested Congress leader P Chidambaram in a dramatic turn of events after making a surprise appearance at Congress headquarters on Wednesday night to claim he was not on the run. "I was disgusted that I had been charged with hiding from the law. I was looking for the protection of the law, on the contrary. I was charged with running away from justice. On the contrary, I was involved in the pursuit of justice, "Chidambaram informed the Congress headquarters a late-night news conference before going to his Delhi home from where he was taken to the CBI office and put under arrest. Officers of the CBI, ED and Delhi Police reached Chidambaram’s home again soon after his Press conference and arrested.
