Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to meet Chinese president Xi Jinping for an ‘informal summit.’ The informal summit is set to be one where matters such as the unresolved border dispute will be discussed among other important topics such as terrorism and India’s trade deficit with China as well.
During the Modi-Xi meeting, the entire spectrum of significant bilateral and global issues is likely to come up for discussion. However, no major agreements are expected to be reached.
Besides, the two leaders are likely to discuss the changes that have taken place and which are unprecedented in the past 100 years to exchange views on the strategic, long term issues concerning particularly bilateral ties.
