ME News Bureau: New Delhi: Repolling will be conducted on December 17 at six polling stations in Daskroi, Savli, Vadgam, and Viramgam regions of Gujarat, the Election Commission stated. Elections were conducted in these stations on December 14 in the of Gujarat Assembly polls’ second phase.
Additionally, counting of votes will be done with the use of slips in Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) in 10 polling stations in Sankheda, Visnagar, Becharaji, Vejalpur, Vatva, Savli, Jamalpur-Khadia and Modasa. This was necessitated because the presiding officers did not clear the votes that were cast during mock poll from the control unit, the election commission said.
The Gujarat Assembly election results will be announced on December 18.
