New Delhi: anjeev Chawla, a key accused in one of the biggest match-fixing scandals in cricket, moved the Delhi High Court on Friday to appeal his 12-day police remand declared a day earlier by a Delhi court. Additional Metropolitan Magistrate Sudhir Kumar Sirohi, of Patiala House Court, had sent the convicted bookie in police custody after being extradited from London on Thursday. He is one of the leading suspects on the allegations involving former South African captain Hansie Cronje in the 2000 match-fixing scandal.
