On Thursday, the Supreme Court declined to grant an urgent hearing to a complaint challenging the Presidential Order on Article 370 revoking the unique status of Jammu and Kashmir. The matter was raised before a panel led by Justice N V Ramana for urgent listing, and the tribunal said the plea would be heard in due course.
Advocate M L Sharma, who submitted the petition, urged the bench either on 12 or 13 August to list his request for hearing. The bench questioned Sharma if he had healed his petition's defects.
