The situation in a western Uttar Pradesh’s Saharanpur Township is tensed after two groups clashed on Saturday on some petty issue resulting in the imposition of Curfew in the entire township, early on Saturday morning. Though, the situation there has been brought under control, the administration still fears fresh bout of violence.
The district administration has termed the condition volatile and increased patrolling in certain sensitive areas which are more prone to communal violence in the past too.
