Karnataka Minister DK Shivakumar has alleged that the "Operation Lotus" of the BJP has worked a bit as he said that three Congress MLAs are camping in a hotel in Mumbai with BJP leaders as part of the BJP's operation to topple the alliance governments in the non-BJP ruling states.
Operation Lotus is a term coined to refer BJP's actions to draw opposition members to ensure the then BS Yeddyurappa government in Karnataka in 2008.
"Horse trading is going on in the state. Three of our MLAs are in Mumbai in a hotel with some BJP MLAs and leaders. We are aware of what has transpired there and how much has been offered to them," Shivakumar said.
Shivakumar is known to be as the saviour for the Congress in Karnataka as he was the "trouble-shooter" for the party on many occasions.
