Arvind Kejriwal led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is set to retain power in Delhi as per exit poll conducted after voting on February 8. As per IANS-CVoter 'Delhi Tracker' exit poll survey AAP’s development work will help it get past BJP in Delhi elections.

Exit poll indicates AAP to cross the overall vote share of 50.6 per cent, BJP at 36 per cent and Congress way behind with 9 per cent. While AAP projected its development work in Delhi, BJP and Congress on the other hand found themselves on opposing sides of the controversial Citizenship Amendment Act.

In terms of seat share the IANS-CVoter exit poll results predicts the ruling party to retain power by bagging somewhere around 49 – 63 seats from a total of 70 seats. In 2015 the AAP had won 67 seats. The exit poll predicts the BJP to get some 5 – 19 seats. In 2015 the party had won 3 seats. Congress is meanwhile likely to win a maximum of 4 seats. In 2015 it didn’t get a single seat.

Saturday’s exit polls reveal that AAP continues to maintain the lead it registered in pre-poll survey projections when elections were announced. Votes will be counted on February 11.
