Finance Minister Arun Jaitley is being treated for kidney-related problems and certain infections that he had recently contracted.
Jaitley confirmed that he was working from home as he tweeted, “I am being treated for kidney related problems & certain infections that I have contracted. I am therefore currently working from controlled environment at home. The future course of my treatment would be determined by the doctors treating me.”
Officials at the Finance Ministry stated that Jaitley had gone to Delhi's All India Institute of Medical Sciences or AIIMS for tests related to a kidney ailment and that, doctors from AIIMS are reportedly attending to the Finance Minister at his residence.
