Karnataka is all set to go for polls on Saturday as all pre-poll entertainment is on its final stage with the official campaign will finish off today evening. Election will be held in 223 assembly seats with only Jayanagar constituency will be left out of the poll battle.

All the political parties are looking for a final push today especially the ruling Congress, the BJP and the Janata Dal (S). Pre-poll surveys predicted an advantage for the Congress and the party makes a keen effort to maintain that advantage as party president Rahul Gandhi was part of many campaigns across the state.

BJP also puts a high effort in the election campaign as they hopes for a comeback in the state. BJP will end their campaign on a high with the presence of party president Amit Shah and two chief ministers and 22 union ministers as well. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had taken part in the campaign to strengthen BJP's efforts as he attended 18 rallies in the state.

Congress tries hard to avoid any signs of anti-incumbency in the state with senior leader Sonia Gandhi herself assured her contribution to the party's cause in the election. Rahul Gandhi opted for a different protest against the hike in petroleum price as he travelled in bullock cart and bicycle to express his protest against the government.
