Kumaraswamy wins trust vo

Chief minister  HD Kumaraswamy has proved his majority in the Karnataka assembly soon after the BJP boycotted the floor test and walked out of the assembly. 117 MLAs including 77 from Congress, 37 from Janata Dal(S), one from BJP and one independent MLA voted in favour of him.

The BJP has decided to boycott the trust vote in Karnataka and they made a walkout soon after the speech of former chief minister BS Yeddyurappa. Yeddyurappa while walking out said that "let's see how long you last".

Earlier Congress' KR Ramesh Kumar was unanimously elected as the speaker after his opponent S Suresh Kumar from BJP withdrew his nomination.

Former CM Yeddyurappa said that they will conduct a state level strike on 28 May if the government fails to waive off the farmer loans.
