Modi Shah cannot deliver

Following its Delhi debacle RSS publication Organiser has made a striking observation on the candidates selected to fight elections. It has stated that a bad candidate cannot win a premium just because the party it belongs to is good. An evil is an evil, it observed and the observation hasn’t come from any opposition party but from the party within.

The author of the article has pointed out that Modi and Shah, the two star campaigners for BJP cannot bail the party forever. “Narendra Modi and Amit Shah cannot always help out in the Assembly level elections and there is no option but to rebuild the organisation in Delhi to address the local aspirations,” the article stated.

The failure of BJP to reorganize itself at the grassroots level following its defeat in 2015 state elections has been another major factor which manifested in AAP victory. If left unchecked Arvind Kejriwal could grow further in strength and popularity. The faction-ridden state BJP unit in Delhi needs to pull up its socks and plug the gaps to have a chance for winning back Delhi after five years.
