Senior BJP leader Shivraj Singh Chouhan said in the last general election that dynasty politics was rejected, but Congress did not learn from it and still wants Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi to lead the party.

Chouhan said the BJP set an example as its leaders naturally grow in the party, while Congress cannot move beyond a family.

The Congress Working Committee (CWC) on Saturday, in a resolution, named interim party leader Sonia Gandhi until the AICC elects a regular president.

Chouhan, a former chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, said that everywhere, including Uttar Pradesh and Bihar in the general elections, political parties ruled by dynasty, family and caste politics were defeated.

People have also rejected West Bengal's appeasement policy, he said, adding that people have chosen nationalism and growth. The Congress should choose a leader through a democratic process and no one can save the party if it fails to do so, Chouhan asserted.
