The Supreme Court will hear a petition that challenges the governor Vajubhai Vala's action where he had invited BS Yeddyurappa to form the government. The top court will seek a clarity on the letter submitted by Yeddyurappa to the governor which claims that he has enough support to run a stable government.
The Supreme Court had heared the Congress petition that sought to stay the BJP's swearing-in ceremony where the court had started hearing the petition around 2am and ended it up with 4 am in the morning, hours before Yeddyurappa's swearing-in.
The top court had rejected the petition filed by the Congress in that rare post-midnight hearing. But the court had also ordered that they will go through the letter submitted by Yeddyurappa to the governor.
