Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) faces setback after setback as the International Cricket Council's (ICC) Dispute Resolution Pane ordered Pakistan to pay 60 percent of  the cost demanded by the BCCI after the ICC had rejected the PCB's compensation claims that blamed India for the lack of bilateral series between the two nations.

The ICC 's new order that asks Pakistan Board to pay 60 percent of the BCCI's cost for court procedures comes nearly a month after rejecting the PCB's compensation claims despite not knowing the actual amount the BCCI had demanded. The remaining 40 percent will be borned by the BCCI.

The Panel decided to order the PCB to pay 60 percent instead of 100 percent after feeling that it will be an injustice to the Pakistan Board asking them for full payment. The ICC had rejected the PCB's plea for compensation on November 20 for India's unwillingness to play bilateral series with Pakistan.

The PCB complained that India had promised to play seven series inclusive of Tests, T20s and ODIs from 2015 to 2023 but later broke the agreement.
