Media Eye News Bureau: South Africa showed an excellent display of disciplined bowling and bundled out India for a paltry 187 in their first innings of the third and final cricket Test at the New Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg.

It was surprising to see India elected to bat first on a wicket which had more bounce and carry that eventually turned out to be a nightmare for the Indian batsmen.

India stretched their innings to get at least 200 on their board, but fall short, with Cheteshwar Pujara (50), skipper Virat Kohli (54) and Bhuvneshwar Kumar (30) only reaching double figures.

Proteas’ bowling unit  found the right areas to unsettle the visitors from the likes of Morne Morkel (2/47), Vernon Philander (2/31), Kagiso Rabada (3/39), Lungisani Ngidi (1/27) and Andile Phehlukwayo (2/25).

Replying to India’s low score, South Africa ended the day one with 6/1 losing opener Aiden Markram (2) where comeback man Bhuvneshwar Kumar got the early break caught behind by Parthiv Patel.
