The Indian team management has named a thirteen member squad ahead of the Fourth and final Test against Australia in Sydney.

The list includes the surprise addition of KL Rahul who has failed with the bat in India's all the recent test series' and many former cricketers were calling for the decision to omit him from the side at the earliest. Rahul, along with Murali Vijay, was not a part of the third test where India thumped Australia by 137 runs at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Another notable omission is Ishant Sharma and he is being replaced by another seamer Umesh Yadav. There is no clarification from the management yet as why Ishant was dropped from the squad as he is a part of a potent attack that is capable of taking oppositions' 20 wickets in any given situations.

The following players have been selected for the 4th Test: Virat Kohli (C), Ajinkya Rahane (VC), KL Rahul, Mayank Agarwal, Cheteshwar Pujara, Hanuma Vihari, Rishabh Pant, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, R Ashwin, Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, Umesh Yadav

The team management will take a final decision on R Ashwins availability on the morning of the Test match.
