The Indian team management has named the playing eleven ahead of the Boxing Day Test against Australia in Melbourne. India's domestic star Mayank Agarwal is set to make his test debut while he will parter with Hanuma Vihari who got promotion form number 6 after the team management has decided to drop the out of form opening batsmen KL Rahul and Murali Vijay.
Left arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja also included in place of R Ashwin who is recovering well from his left-sided abdominal strain but not 100% fit. The team management is closely monitoring his progress.
