ME News Bureau: Indian cricket can be compared to the Tamil film industry as the people in Tamil Nadu would favor Ajith, Kamal, Vijay, Surya and many more when asked about the choice on their best actor. But their selection comes besides the fact that they already put global star Rajinikanth as their best on the tomb.

Likely, Indian cricket followers and the diehard fans have many names to chose from the long list dated back to 1950, but considering the fact that they always put Sachin Tendulkar as the god of the game.

Sachin was always been the focal point of Indian innings and he was regarded as the greatest of all time. Crores of Indian cricket fans still misses his presence and they still believe that cricket is all about him only. But there was one man who silently worked behind the scenes and he never expected a reward for his service. He often worked like a fellow servant who was bound to serve his duty first always.

Yes, it was Rahul Dravid, The Wall of Indian cricket.

Rahul Dravid is widely regarded as one of the masters' in the game of cricket and till date there is yet to be a batsman who can be termed as The Wall in Indian cricket.

Rahul Dravid turned 45 on Thursday.

Dravid is considered one of the greatest Test batsmen to have ever played cricket, with many of his colleagues and ex-players placing him over Sachin Tendulkar.

Dravid was well known as 'The Wall' or 'Mr. Dependable', but he was also called by the nickname 'Jammy' as his Father worked at the Kissan factory.

He amassed 13288 runs with an average of 52.31 from 164 Test matches. He hit 36 hundreds and 63 fifties as well.

As the only Indian to score hundreds in four consecutive test match innings, Dravid also became the only non-Australian cricketer to deliver Bradman oration in 2012.

Dravid is always remembered for his endless numbers of match winning and match saving innings rather than his number of hundreds and fifties.

Currently, Dravid is travelling with the India U-19 and 'A' teams as their head coach where the U-19 stars are getting ready to lift the nation's pride in the coming World Cup, beginning from January 14.
