Katihar: Five children aged between five and ten, drowned on Monday, an official said, in a large pit filled with floodwater. They slipped into the pit while playing. The accident took place in Bochahi village falling under Narayanpur panchayat.Rs. 4 lakhs ex-gratia will be granted to each child's next kin who died in accordance with the policy of the state government, officials said.
