Amaravati: On Thursday, an Australian business delegation met with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and addressed the state's investment possibilities.

The Australian Consul General Susan Grace-led delegation included 22 delegates from Western Australia, Queensland, and Victoria. Delegates from different industries such as mines, fuel, production of lithium batteries, education, logistics and airport management. 

Jagan Reddy assured them that he would fully support the growth of the state's industrial sector. He said that governance transparency would assist industrial sector development.

The chief minister expressed interest in introducing state-owned electric buses to decrease pollution and improve transportation.

The Australian delegation encountered several ministers, secretaries and businessmen on a two-day visit. Meanwhile, Jagan Reddy was also called by Israeli Ambassador to India Ron Malka.

The Chief Minister stressed for mutual advantage the strengthening of bilateral relations between Andhra Pradesh and Israel. In fields where the supply of treated water is hard, they addressed water management and desalination of sea water.

Malka described how 94% of its waste water is recycled by Israel. They also addressed possible collaborations between technological organizations in the areas where supply of treated water is difficult.

Malka said he was impressed with the vision of the chief minister and provided his assistance in advancing relations between Andhra and Israel.
