Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal Sunday inaugurated an underground reservoir at Karala in the constituency of the Mundka assembly to guarantee piped water supply in the region.
It is anticipated that the UGR with a capability of 165 lakh liters will benefit 5.36 lakh inhabitants residing in 14 villages and 27 unauthorized colonies in the region where either the supply was small or the links were not piped.
Providing all homes in the capital with potable water was one of the Aam Admi Party's (AAP) main polling planks before it went to power in 2015.
